The body of 8-year-old Mary Kate Jacobe, a beloved Mystic camper, was found today. This innocent angel was taken far too soon by the devastating Texas flood. May her family find strength and peace amidst this unimaginable loss. 🕊️

Jacobe is one of 27 campers and counselors killed when the Guadalupe River flooded on July 4.

Kerr County was hit the hardest, with at least 95 deaths, including 36 children. President Donald Trump signed a disaster declaration for the county and the Federal Emergency Management Agency is on the ground there.

Our precious angel baby has entered the gates of Heaven. Mary Kate Jacobe was the light of our lives. She was tiny but mighty, full of love and joy with a smile that melted your heart. Mary Kate, our Sissy, was the baby of our large family and was most certainly our angel on earth. We are utterly shattered and forever changed by the loss of our girl.
