Royal Tragedy!!! The Queen Margrethe rushed to hospital after fall at Fredensborg Castle
was admitted to the Danish capital’s university hospital for observation, the royal house told Danish media.
She was reportedly not seriously hurt.
Head of communications, Lene Balleby, said: “According to the circumstances, the queen is doing well, but was admitted for observation for the time being.”
King Frederik, Margrethe’s son, told reporters he had spoken to her and that “she is in good hands.”
He said as he attended an event in Copenhagen’s City Hall: “We take it day by day. The doctors are the ones who decide.”
The Danish royal is set to miss an engagement tomorrow at Aarhus University to mark the 75th anniversary of the Department of Archeology.
