When Scott Swift, 73, underwent a quintuple bypass, bypass surgery that takes five blocked arteries, Taylor Swift put family first. The surgery took place sometime last month and was not the result of a heart attack but rather a precaution after some problems in the arteries were found, said a representative for the artist.
Taylor Swift remained at her father’s side every step of the way, putting her Eras Tour obligations on hold for the time of the procedure and recovery. “Scott Swift had quintuple bypass surgery over a month ago, and his wife, Andrea, and their kids, Taylor and Austin, were with him through the entire surgery and recovery process,” a representative for Taylor affirmed, noting the family is hopeful following Scott’s encouraging recovery.
