RED HOT Kansas City Chiefs fire 6-word warning to NFL rivals for new season with Patrick Mahomes looking locked in
matchup against the Baltimore Ravens took a turn in the fourth quarter when Roquan Smith laid a late hit on Patrick Mahomes after a run to the sideline.
Mahomes clearly went out of bounds to gain a first down on the play, and Smith made contact with the reigning Super Bowl MVP well after he passed the sideline.
Referees failed to call a penalty on Smith, and the crowd at Arrowhead Stadium let out a roar when they saw the replay of the illegal hit on the jumbotron.
